The original slates were removed and re-laid, the broken ones replaced. Slates were re-laid entirely with stainless steel slate hooks. All fascias and barge boards were replaced with new oak ones. Plastic gutters also replaced with Lindab steel gutters. The dormers were remodelled and the fronts clad with elm boards.
